About This Calculator
When one person orders a salad and another orders steak, splitting the bill equally feels unfair. This calculator lets each item be assigned to the person who ordered it, then calculates a proportional tip — so the person who spent more also pays a proportionally larger share of the gratuity.
How It Works
Enter the number of diners, the tip percentage, then add each item with its price and assign it to the diner who ordered it. The calculator totals each diner's items, applies a proportional share of the tip (based on each person's fraction of the subtotal), and shows what each person owes.
